Australian Pandemic Newsletter

Australian Pandemic Newsletter is a free email newsletter that covers business, essential services, critical infrastructure and policy developments on Australia’s influenza preparation, prevention, response and recovery.

It is aimed at those who work in emergency services, infrastructure organisations, business and government agencies.

It provides an essential information source for anyone who has a major role in ensuring the continuity of essential services and commerce, in the event of panic, due to either a possible or actual pandemic.

It includes a variety of important information including current coverage of news, articles, events, and positions vacant. Contributions and media releases should be sent to news@pandemic.net..au

The approach of Australian Pandemic Newsletter is to recognise that pandemic preperations must be based on:

  • risk management
  • a true partnership of the 3 tiers of government, critical infrastructure providers, businesses, associations, the professions and the community
  • whole of nation approach rather than just a whole of government approach
  • prevention is the responsibility of everyone

The service is provided by the Australian Homeland Security Research Centre as part of their public educaiton and outreach program.
